If anyone is using a tractor without a roll over protective structure (ROPS) please get one installed, we don't want to lose any mapletraders.
I just got a mailing concerning ROPS rebates. I took advantage of it a few years ago in NYS but the program has now been expanded to Penn, VT, and NH. For info call 1 877 ROPS R4U, or go to www.ROPSR4U for the info necessary.
The program rebates the cost of a ROPS to be retrofitted to your older tractor with a 70% rebate up to a max $765. THey also help find a ROPS for your tractor. THe rebate up to the max includes labor too and you must have a dealer install it, you can not do your own.
When mine was done the max was $700 and my cost before rebate was $1100. I was told my tractor model was more costly than most in the small-medium size ranges. I do feel much safer with it as I work in the woods.
