I bought one of these recently and it works great for 5/16ths tubing. Folds up too.

Cool. Does it have a larger diameter then a full role? (I'am picturing tubing uncoiling into a "bird's nest" underneath when walking with the end of tubing).
I like the portability of it.

The arms, if I can call them that, do extend beyond the coil by more than 2 inches. The company that sells them, emailed me recently and told me they were going to make larger ones also.

One must always remember how the uncoiler will preform after you trip and fall over that little stick that grabbed your pants leg:mad: They all seem to work well under ideal conditions and then WHAM it gets stuck on a branch or old barbed wire and 5 loops gets pulled off the bottom:cry:

You don't have to worry about the tripping consequences if you hang it on the mainline like I do and unspool it from there.

Looks like it'll work well and the price is right compared to what the maple companies sell for the same task.

Mine folds too but was made by a maple co, and it was free. Well, sort of, I won it as a door prize at last Jan's NY Maple Conference in Verona, NY.
