Thanks for the heads up. I downloaded the program and there's a good lineup for topics. I'm going to make at least Bellows Falls, but hope to go to Middlebury as well. Is there a way to find out what the time schedule is for the topics at each event.

Vermont Maple Conferences will be held in January in Bellows Falls, Hyde Park and Middlebury

January 15, 2011 - Middlebury
January 22, 2011 - Hyde Park
January 29, 2011 - Bellows Falls

Maple sugar makers and aspiring sugar makers will have an opportunity to learn about the latest technology, innovations, and standards of practice at three maple conferences on consecutive Saturdays in January. Addison County Sugarmakers will host a maple school at Middlebury High School on January 15; University of Vermont Extension and the Vermont Maple Sugar Makers Association will host schools at the Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park on January 22 and at the Bellows Falls High School on January 29. All conferences open for registration at 7:30 AM with programs beginning at 8:30 AM.

Lunch is available at all three sites and there will be time available to visit with equipment dealers and manufacturers who will be present to show off the latest tools of the trade. These annual conferences provide sugar makers with an opportunity to increase and to share their knowledge as well as a time to re-connect with fellow sugar makers.Information about The Vermont Maple Conferences can be found in the "Maple Mainline" at http://www.uvm.edu/~uvmaple/maple_mainline_dec10.pdf. For those planning on attending the Middlebury conference the pre-registration deadline has been extended to January 7th. $25 per person includes roast pork lunch with all the sides and dessert. Take advantage of the filter aid sale - pre-ordered - $28 per bag - to be picked up at the School. Limited availability of extra bags will be on sale for $30 the day of the School.

If you are planning on attending the conference in Middlebury on January 15 you will need to download and print out the registration form and mail it in along with your check

Hasn't been released yet. Should be out very soon though. No, won't necessarily follow the Hyde Park schedule, although many of the same topics and speakers will be there.

Here is the schedule for the Bellows Falls VT Maple Conference on Sat. The coordinator of the educational program is Tim Wilmot, UVM Extension, in consultation with the VMSMA. As with all conferences, the schedule is subject to change as necessary.
