looking at an old dairy pump and the owner said should be able to pull 300 microns?no info on cfm's or hg's is there a conversion for microns?

Doesnt make any sense. Microns are the size of holes in filters and anything that has VERY SMALL HOLES. Doesnt apply as far as I can see. If its a dairy pump its usually pulls between 12 and 15 HGs and higher CFMs. The vacuum releaser is how they controlled the HGs. If you remove the vac reg from the system they will pull higher HGs but will overheat.

the previous owner might have been confused. the performance of the pump should be expressed in how many inches of mercury (know as hg) it can pull. is typcially expressed as something like "my sp-11 can pull 22 inches" in reality that is negative inches- or "-22 hg"
