insulating pans

Hi!
Does anyone insulate the outside of thier pans to concentrate the heat inside and to the boiling???

I did when I boiled outside. I would stack bricks along the side to keep the cold air off. If you are boiling inside, you don't have to worry about a cold wind knocking down your boil.
